American made, lead-free glass jar. Glass is a great choice for brewing kombucha as it doesn’t leach chemicals and is easy to clean. Best of all, through the clear glass you can watch the pellicle grow and yeast formations that occur during the fermentation. The breathable cotton cover included provides access to oxygen for the SCOBY while the tight weave keeps fruit flies and other unwanted pests out.
