Pork-Boston Butt, bone-in-White Oak Pastures-3.5lb., pastured

This 3.5-pound roast comes from the front shoulder and includes the blade bone. Often used in pulled pork recipes, this staple item is enjoyed frequently in our on-farm restaurant. This roast has a higher fat content than our pork chops, and that fat is a flavor booster once it’s been smoked or roasted. This is a very tender and flavorful roast!

Our hogs have it made! They enjoy cracked eggs from our pastured egg operation, as well as blemished vegetables from our Certified Organic vegetable farm. We also offer them a free choice, non-GMO grain supplement, containing corn, soy, wheat and other grains. From birth to slaughter the pigs are raised on pasture and woodlands at our farm. The foraging is typically of roots and grasses, while it can also contain bugs, worms, and other ground dwelling animals and insects. Our hogs are left to exhibit their natural instincts to root and wallow and forage for anything they find palatable.
