Our classic Romaine lettuce is harvested early as a young head (at least 7 oz). This lettuce is used in salads (a must in Caesar salad) and sandwiches with a profile of crisp, succulent, and crunchy with a slightly bitter taste.
Nutrition –Â Romaine lettuce is an excellent source of nutrients including dietary fiber, vitamins A, C, and K, thiamin, folate, iron, potassium, and manganese. It is also a good source of riboflavin, vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper.
